BEAR POWER
This totem style bear is carved in solid Oak wood and is about 9" long, 6" high and has a depth of about 3 1/2".  The idea for this bear came from a picture in a book and is a miniature copy of a famous sculpture made by German sculpturer Bill Reid who carved his bear for the Heiti Indians in British Columbia.  Bill was said to have been restoring native totem poles and making jewelry.  I understand the original stands about 4 1/2' high and is 5' long.  Our bear is said to have spirits in it because when you pick it up one way it is extremely heavy and yet when you pick it up the other way it is super light ~ without the expected weight of heavy oak.
