"Wedding Cake"

My sister told me many years before her wedding that if and when she ever got married she wanted to have a cake that had red & white roses on it.  Several years later when it came time for her to get married, I told her not to buy a cake because I was making her one as a wedding gift.  She had forgotten what she told me and when she saw her cake for the first time at her wedding reception ~ she cried with tears of joy.

As you can see it is three tiers high with red & white roses cascading down the different levels.  On the sides I put crewel work designs and silver bead work to give it an elegant look.  You can see a little of the design on the sides where the light hits it and creates shadows.  Everything was edible but the bride and groom center piece.
