"Gingerbread Village"

These miniature gingerbread houses and village are all different styles ~ from the 'Victorian manse' to the 'Swiss chalet'.  A lot of time and work goes into these and I like to create themes ~ of course no gingerbread house or set is complete without a 'tree'.  Everything you see is made from gingerbread and/or royal icing complete from the houses, to the tree, to the little lady in red, and the gifts around the tree.  The bushes are mint candies, sour candies are on houses and the 'ground' and smarties adorn the roof tops.  The only thing not made of food is the little plastic sign on the back left that says 'Season's Greetings'.

These cakes are part of the 25 cakes I mentioned in 'Assortment' that were part of a baking spree one year in which I gave cakes as gifts to my friends and family.
